NYUS’s Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies trains students for careers in law and law-related fields ( business, government and criminal justice ), as well as preparing students to pursue a law degree. Students learn the necessary information and skills for successful integration into a law office atmosphere. They also learn the ways in which the law impacts most professional fields.
Program Objectives
The following objectives are designed to meet NYUS’s mission and its objectives:
- To develop students’ written and verbal competencies.
- To promote critical thinking by instruction students in analytical and technical skills.
- To provide students with a sound understanding of the law in the United States.
- To prepare graduates to work as legal assistants in law-related fields and to enter law school.
